The B&B “La Terra di Archimede” is located in the heart of Syracuse, a city immersed in its glorious past and protagonist of the historical events linked to the Greek Empire. Furthermore, Syracuse was the birthplace of the great inventor Archimedes, as evidenced by our own name.
We are located inside a delightful flowery courtyard that surrounds an ancient palace.

The location is excellent for walking to the main historical and cultural sites of Syracuse: such as the Archaeological Park with the Greek Theater, the Ear of Dionysus, the Sanctuary of the Madonnina delle Lacrime, the Paolo Orsi Museum, the Catacombs of S. Giovanni and all the wonders that make this city unique.
Staying in our b&b means reaching the wonderful Ortigia with a walk of just 5 minutes. Ortigia, once a stronghold of the Tyrant of Siracusa Dionysius, today is a melting pot of history and beauty, a crossroads of styles and cultures that alternated over the centuries and a jewel of the Mediterranean.
The train and bus station is very near to our b&b. You can park your motorbike in our courtyard, and it is easy to find a parking space for your car in front of the door or in the same street of the B&B.
The quiet and very comfortable rooms are equipped with air conditioning, wireless internet connection, LCD television, private bathroom with hairdryer and offer all the intimacy and relaxation you could wish for. The price includes a hearty breakfast with characteristic products of the area, an attic with a kitchen (ideal for families) with a coffee machine with pods, a corner with sofa and TV, and a computer and internet station. Adjacent there is a small terrace. You can add a third bed at the price of only € 15, children under 8 do not pay, the cot is free and on request. For those who book for long periods a special rate will be applied.
